CORINNA – Beloved child of God, Faye B. (Seamans) Parker, 86, wife of the late Archie D. Parker Jr., went to her heavenly home to be with her Abba Father and Lord Jesus Christ, Monday, Dec. 20, 2010. Faye was born Dec. 19, 1924, in Corinna, daughter of the late Hollis and Nora (Tozier) Seamans. Growing up, Faye attended Corinna schools, graduated from Corinna Union Academy in 1944, and worked in the beauty shop after her graduation. In 1945 she married Archie D. Parker Jr. while he was home on leave from the Army. The two were happily married for 54 years. During that time, Faye worked for Snowflake Canning, Corinna, for 15 years and Dexter Shoe Co. for 19 years. Faye was a faithful, Christian wife and mother, prayed and read her Bible daily, and shared her testimony with many. She attended Pleasant Street Christian Church, Corinna, for several decades. She also enjoyed playing the piano and harmonica, cooking, knitting, gardening, and visiting and corresponding with family, friends and neighbors. She is survived by her three children, Judy Herrick and husband, Carl, of Corinna, Donna Peasley and husband, Chuck, of Dexter and Daniel D. Parker and wife, Lisa, of New Bern, N.C.; four siblings, Alden Seamans and wife, Joanne, of Avon, Conn., Richard Seamans and wife, Rita, of Dexter, David Seamans and wife, Sue, of Lee, Mass., and Jean Mountain and husband, Ted, of Corinth; two brothers-in-law, eight sisters-in-law; 10 grandchildren, Lisa, Kim, Tracy, Julie, Janine, Sherri, Terri, Devin, Valerie and Angela; 19 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Archie, Faye was predeceased by her stepmother, Margaret (Fogg) Seamans; her brothers, Robert, Shirley, Trueman and Darrel Seamans; her sister, Phyllis (Seamans) Godreau; and her grandson, Scott Herrick. Visiting hours will be held 1-2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, at Pleasant Street Christian Church, Corinna, where the funeral service will begin 2 p.m. with Pastor Edward Jaworski and Pastor Michael Troyer officiating.
