DEER ISLE – David Barnes Pashley, 62, passed away Dec. 11, 2010, at a Bangor hospital after a brief illness. He was born July 21, 1948, in Boston, son of William and Phyllis (Barnes) Pashley. He graduated from Bridgton Academy in 1968 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in business from Bentley College, Waltham, Mass., in 1972. He was employed in the customer services field. David was a lifelong resident of Deer Isle, where he loved the ocean, enjoyed boating and fishing. David was a friend to many and loved by all. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church. He was also active in Little League as a coach and supporter of his son, Todd. David was a member of Deer Isle Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by his beloved wife, Georgia Soucie Pashley of Deer Isle; his granddaughter, Lilah Peach Pashley of Bath; and his mother-in-law, Charlotte R. Shaughnessy of Brewer. He was predeceased by his son, Todd Christopher Pashley. A memorial service for David will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, at Community of Christ Church, Sunset Avenue, Stonington.
