VAN BUREN – Emilien R. Lausier, 82, died Dec. 21, 2010, at a Van Buren health care facility. He was born May 5, 1928, in Grand Isle, son of Camille and Irene (Daigle) Lausier Sr. He was employed for area farmers for many years, and worked for several years as a custodian and bus driver for SAD 24, Van Buren. He is survived by six daughters, Marie Roy, Stella Lausier, Irene Lausier, Cindy Lausier, all of Van Buren, Therese Poitras of St. Leonard, New Brunswick, and Rita Lausier of Green River, New Brunswick; two sons, Ronald Lausier of Van Buren and Carl Lausier of Edmundston, New Brunswick; four sisters, Anita Bouchard, Claudette Pelletier, Joan Gagnon, all of Van Buren, and Mildred Roy of Vermont; six brothers, Camille Lausier Jr., Reginald Lausier, Leo Lausier, all of Van Buren, Clifford Lausier, Edmond Lausier, both of Connecticut, and Harold Lausier of Connor; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sons, Edmund Lizotte and Patrick Lizotte; four sisters, Therese St. Pierre, Rita Lausier, Edna Lausier and Cecile Lausier; and by three brothers, Claude, Clarence and Ronald Lausier. At his request, there will be no visiting hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Spring interment will be at Grande Riviere Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make contributions to assist the family, in care of Cindy Lausier, P.O. Box 12, Van Buren, ME 04785.
