LINCOLN – Raymond J. Roy, 81, husband of Constance (Roderick) Roy, passed away Dec. 21, 2010, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Nov. 27, 1929, in Rumford, son of Raoul and Clarice (Gallant) Roy. Ray was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a championship ski jumper. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved to play cribbage and go golfing, and shared that love with his grandchildren. He coached Little League baseball and youth football for many years. In addition to his wife, Constance, he is survived by four daughters, Cynthia and Jeffrey Fogg of Lincoln, Debra Connolly and Stephen Daly of New Hampshire, Donna MacDonald and Frank Chiappone of New York, and Sandra and Laurence Smart III of Lincoln; a son, Douglas Roy and Charlene O’Shea of Massachusetts; nine grandchildren, Crystal, Deac, Desiree, Dustin, Shawn, Ian, DJ, Joshua and Rachel; five sisters, Vivian Morgan, Millie and Joe Schreiner, and Julie McInnis, all of North Carolina, Janine and Frank Duffy of Florida, and Annette and Stan King of New Hampshire; two brothers, Joe and Janice Roy of Florida, and Bill and Judy Roy of Rumford; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Rob and Eugene. Per his wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.
