BURLINGTON, Mass. – Mary E. (Donaghy) McDevitt, 97, beloved wife of the late Michael W. McDevitt, passed away Dec. 22, 2010, at Woodbriar of Wilmington after an extended illness. Mary was born in Buncrana, Donegal, Ireland. She was a resident of Burlington, Mass., for the past 52 years and a member of the Burlington Senior Citizens organization. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. Mary was the loving mother of longtime summer resident, John H. of Millinocket, Mary B. Kirk and her husband, Dr. Robert, of South Easton, Mass., Ann E. DeLorme and her husband, Donald, of Groton, Mass., and Patricia Gates of Londonderry, N.H. She is also survived by 13 loving grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral 9 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, at Doyle-Lane Funeral Home, 171 Bedford St., Route 62, Burlington/Bedford, Mass., line. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Malachy’s Church, 99 Bedford St., Burlington, Mass. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington, Mass.
