EDDINGTON – Frank Higgins and Winifred Murray-Higgins of Eddington are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Meghan Kathleen Higgins to Chadwick Joseph Szylvian, son of Frank and Ann Szylvian of Brewer. Meghan is a 2005 graduate of John Bapst Memorial High School in Bangor and attended Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Mass., where she graduated cum laude in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in linguistics. She is a second-year law student pursuing a juris doctor at the University of Maine School of Law in Portland. Chad is a 2005 graduate of Brewer High School and also graduated cum laude from Boston College in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. He is a second-year medical student at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, where he will graduate with a doctor of medicine and a Master of Public Health degree in 2013. The couple is planning a Sept. 1, 2012, wedding at St. John’s Catholic Church in Bangor with the bride’s uncle, the Rev. Frank J. Murray, officiating.
