BANGOR – Ann Marie (Fisher) Nadeau was taken into God’s home Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. She loved the Lord. She fought her earthly battle and is now resting peacefully with him in heaven. Ann was born May 5, 1936, to Frank and Margaret (Crockett) Fisher in Bangor. She attended Bangor schools and was employed in her younger years by Viner Shoe, but her main job in life was taking care of her family. She was always giving of herself to others and would give her last dime to someone in need. Ann devoted her life to her family. After her mother’s passing Ann brought up her two younger brothers. She then married the love of her life and they started their family. Although Ann enjoyed going for rides, playing cards and crocheting, her biggest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family. She was always ready for any adventure they wanted to take her on. She always told everyone she was blessed by having four beautiful daughters and by being able to care for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well. Meme was as special to every one of them as they were to her. Ann was married to Roland for 45 years before his passing in 2001. Ann is survived by her daughters, Barbara and her husband, Dennis Witham, of Hermon, Debra and her husband, Peter Burke, of Glenburn, Linda Jenkins and her life companion, Tom Hyson, of Carmel and Susan and her husband, Henry Kenny, of Orrington; and two brothers, DK and his wife, Dorothy Fisher, of Southington, Conn., and Blaine and his wife, Mary Fisher, of Bangor. She was blessed with nine grandchildren, Jessica Bouchard, Dennis Witham II, Henry Jenkins II, Sarah O’Connell, Erica Marshall, Roy Kenny, Tom Kenny, Abagail Hyson and Adam Hyson; six great-grandchildren, Jakob Bouchard, Micheala Lombardo-Jenkins, Arianna Jenkins, Sidney Marshall, Lucy O’Connell and Dennis Witham III; and a very special godson, Roland Grover. Ann was predeceased by her loving husband, Roland Nadeau; her parents, Frank and Margaret Fisher; and a sister, Betty Raye. Relatives and friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, with the Rev. Randall Wilbur, pastor of Essex Street Baptist Church, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor, after the service. Gifts in her memory may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.Brookings-Smith.com.
