HERMON – Wilson “Red” J. Bragg, 78, who suddenly took ill, died Dec. 31, 2010, at a local nursing home. He was born May 2, 1932, in Carmel, to Ralph and Pearl (Purvis) Bragg. He attended Hermon schools and served in the U.S. Air Force. He married Carolyn Curtis Jan. 10, 1953. He was employed for many years at Galt Block as a foreman and licensed forklift operator, and then retired. He is survived by his seven children and their spouses or significant others, Larry and Betty Bragg, Judy and Bill Sharpe, Tony Bragg and Briana Call, Karen Bragg and Peter Au coin, Dianne Bragg and Carl Averill, Valerie Bragg, and Danny and Teesha Bragg; four sisters and one brother and their spouses, Frances Morrill, Grace and Almer Chambers Jr., Kathleen Dugan, Marie and Bob Snow, and Darrell and Sheryl Bragg; 24 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife of 491/2 years, his mother and father; and two brothers, Everett and Robert. At his request, there will be no funeral services. His family will hold graveside services in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery, Outer Hammond Street, Bangor, which will be announced at a later date.
