SHAPLEIGH, Maine — Officials say a Maine volunteer firefighter was killed when he lost control of his vehicle while responding to a call in Shapleigh.
The York County Sheriff’s Department says 58-year-old David Remington of Acton lost control of his pickup truck on Monday night about a mile from Route 109.
Remington was thrown from his vehicle when it rolled. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
WMTW-TV says Remington lived in Acton and was a volunteer firefighters for the town of Shapleigh.
