OLD TOWN – Dora M. Robichaud, 95, died peacefully in her sleep Jan. 5, 2011, at a Brewer health care facility. She was born May 31, 1915, at Eagle Lake, a daughter of Isaac and Emily (LaFerriere) Dube. At age 14, she came to Bangor to find work to help her parents support their large family. In 1936, she met Lester Pelletier while visiting a friend in the hospital. They were married Oct. 25, 1937, at St. Joseph Church, Old Town. They established their home in Old Town, where she resided until her illness. Upon her children entering school, Dora entered the work force and was employed until her retirement from James River in 1987. Dora loved to play cards and take long walks. She was an avid cook and homemaker who cherished her family dearly. She was a life member of the former St. Joseph Parish, now Parish of the Resurrection of the Lord. She is survived by her second husband, Alcide Robichaud; two daughters, Faye Hayes, and Donna Braun and her husband, Fred; two sons, Patrick Pelletier and his wife, Regina, and Alan Pelletier; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Lester, in 1968; sisters, Annette, Evangeline and Emilda; and brothers, Harold, Leo, Bertram, Herman, Norman, Camille, Kenneth and Darryl. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at Parish of the Resurrection of the Lord, Holy Family Church, 429 Main St., Old Town. Spring interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
