CASTLE HILL – Sonya Jean Lovley Cheviot, 62, passed away Jan. 20, 2011, at her home after a courageous fight with cancer. She was born Dec. 8, 1948, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Elbridge “Ebb” and Ann (Hafford) Lovley. She worked many years at Potato Service, Inc. and Mecon Manufacturing. She is survived by her parents of Castle Hill; her son, Darcy Lovley and his wife, Stephanie, of Bangor; two brothers and their wives, Conrad and Janice Lovley of Herndon, Va., and Brett and Mary Lovley of Mapleton; two sisters, Serrena Lovley of Lamoine and Lori Bruce and her companion, Steve Schenck, of Westport, Mass.; a grandson, Matthew Lovley of Bangor; a nephew, Dale Lovley and his wife, Rebecca, of West Virginia; a great-nephew, Landon Lovley of West Virginia; and a special friend, Brenda Whitney of Lamoine. She was predeceased by a sister, Lorna Lovley, in 2008; and a niece, Kesha Lovley Morris. A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with Pastor Lucy Lovley officiating.
