DENVER – Kevin Loren Bate, 49, formerly of Millinocket, died unexpectedly of natural causes Jan. 7, 2011, at his home. He was born May 17, 1961, in Lincoln, Neb., son of Lawrence and Sandra Kay (Stoehr) Bate.
A graduate of Stearns High School, Millinocket, Class of 1979, he had lived in Colorado since shortly after his graduation. Kevin was a member of Millinocket’s Little League state championship team that traveled to Jersey City, N.J., in 1973 to play in the Little League Regional Championship. He also played football and ice hockey for Stearns High School. Kevin always had a smile and never let any unjust act go by. He is sadly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Sandra Kay and Harry Beaulieu Jr. of Randolph; his father of Fort Myers, Fla.; a daughter, Isabella Bate of Wheat Ridge, Colo.; sisters, Terry Bate Retke of Bangor, Cheryl Rand and husband, Denny, of Dryden, Kelley McRorie and husband, Steve, of Paulina, Ore., and Michelle “Missy” Begin and husband, John, of Chelsea; brothers, Peter Beaulieu of Livermore Falls and Joe Beaulieu of Bangor; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held in the spring at Faith Christian Church, Gardiner.
