RICHMOND – Priscilla R. Harriman, 93, of Hagar Street, passed away Jan. 27, 2011, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Augusta. She was born June 26, 1917, in Somerville, Mass., daughter of Leo and Ruth Bunker.

Priscilla attended Lynn English High School, Lynn, Mass.; Burdette College and Lynn School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse for Gardiner General Hospital as director of nurses and VA Medical Center, Togus, for many years. Priscilla was an avid flower gardener. She enjoyed her cats, reading, bird watching, the Red Sox and crossword puzzles.

Priscilla was predeceased by her husband, Perley Harriman; parents; and brother, L. Bradley Bunker. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Harriman of Richmond and Linda MacPhee of South Gardiner; grandchildren, Lisa Porter Dodge and her husband, Carl, of Houlton, Heather MacMaster and her husband, Mike, of South Gardiner, and Shawn Porter and significant other, Ingrid Nivison, of Winthrop; great-grandchildren, Nicole Toth of Ohio, Kaila, Kasey and Kolby MacMaster of South Gardiner, and Benjamin Porter of Winthrop; and sister in-law, Dorothea Bunker of Florida.

Family and friends are invited to visit 4-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31, at Kincer Funeral Home where a funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1. A gathering will be afterward at Priscilla’s home, 11 Hagar St., Richmond. Burial will take place in the spring at Maine Veterans Cemetery. In Priscilla’s memory, donations may be made to Kennebec Valley Humane Society, 10 Pet Haven Lane, Augusta, ME 04430.
