WOODLAND – Lorraine V. Rossignol, 72, died Feb. 3, 2011, at her residence, after a long illness. She was born Dec. 6, 1938, in Woodland, daughter of the late Marvin and Dolly (Brown) Anderson.
Lorraine was a lifelong resident of Woodland, where she was a member of First Baptist Church, Woodland. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, and she enjoyed listening to country music.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Laurie Rossignol Jr. of Presque Isle, Allan and Judy Rossignol and Marvin and Valerie Rossignol, all of Woodland; her daughter and son-in-law, Vanessa and Peter Dobson of Caribou; four brothers, Malachi Anderson and his wife, Sharyl, Vincent Anderson and Tom Anderson, all of Woodland, and Bruce Anderson and his wife, Coleen, of Monticello; four sisters, her twin sister, Loretta Judkins of Caribou, Bessie Ferrante of Kingston, N.H., Leta Pelletier and her husband, Herman, and Lu Gagnon and her husband, Mike, all of Caribou; one granddaughter, Alecia Rafford and her husband, Ian, of Ashland; five grandsons, Cote Rossignol of Hudson and Michael, Ethan, Joshua and Justin Rossignol, all of Woodland; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rossignol was predeceased by a sister, Harriet Thorne; and a brother, Joe Anderson.
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, at First Baptist Church, Woodland, with the Rev. Otto Palmer officiating. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Mrs. Rossignol may do so to First Baptist Church of Woodland Memorial Fund. Arrangements by Mockler Funeral Home.
