MADAWASKA – Robert “Bob” Clavette, 58, passed away Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, at a Massachusetts hospital from complications with diabetes. He was born Nov. 8, 1952, in Fort Kent, the son of Wallace and Bertha (St. John) Clavette.
Bob was an employee of Twin Rivers, formally known as Fraser Papers, for 39 years. He spent most of his career working on the number two machine, but his last position was on the number seven machine. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf, but most importantly he loved spending time with his loving wife, sons and grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his wife, Rachelle (Chasse) Clavette, who he married Nov. 23, 1972; his loving mother, Bertha (Chasse) Clavette of Madawaska; three sons, David Clavette and his wife, Buffy, of Pooler, Ga., and their three sons, Devyn, Colyn and Domynic, Denis Clavette and his wife, Jennifer, of Levant, and their three children, Abigail, Dylan and Emma, and Matthew Clavette of Madawaska; one sister, Gloria Chasse and her husband, Renald, of Bristol, Conn., and their two daughters, Jennifer Sanborn and Chrissy Chasse; and two brothers, John Clavette and Roland Clavette, both of Madawaska. He was predeceased by his father, Wallace Clavette.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church.
