ALEXANDER – Elaine D. White, 58, passed away Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011, at a Bangor hospital. Elaine was born Feb. 20, 1952, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., daughter of the late A.E. “Mac” and Betty (Berry) McInnes.
She married her childhood sweetheart, William White, May 4, 1968, in Brunswick, and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Elaine enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Michelle White. Surviving are her husband of 43 years, William White; four children, William E. White of Auburn, Joseph White of Alexander, Michael White of Alexander and Rebecca Hatt of Alexander; four sisters, Teresa Kay Ross and her husband, Howard, of Alabama, Rose M. McKnight and her husband, Raymond, of Florida, Vickie J. Melvin and her husband, Billy, of Florida and Sandra L. Wilkerson of Florida; three brothers, Terrence L. McInnes of Machiasport, Edward Eugene McInnes and his wife, Peggy, of Florida and Allen Earl McInnes and his wife, Angela, of Florida; seven grandchildren, Billy, Trinity, Katie, Jayda, Ashley, Josh and Mary; many nieces and nephews; and five sisters-in-law, Susan Broderick and her husband, John, of North Carolina, Mary Lavelle of Littleton, N.H., Nancy Joyner of Virginia Beach, Va., Martha Laskowski of Coventry, R.I., and Patricia Castillo of North Kingston, R.I.
