This owl is pictured as it perched in a cedar tree fence behind Paul Jarvis” home in Plain City, Ohio, recently. Jarvis said the owl was about 20 inches tall and that its food source likely is a ready supply of mice in one of his nearby barns. Jarvis is a retired financial adviser and former columnist for the BDN.
