SHERMAN – Edwin A. Tozier, 77, died March 1, 2011, in Patten. He was born Jan. 10, 1934, in Island Falls, son of John and Dorothy (Irish) Tozier.
Ed was retired from the U.S. Air Force, where he was a chief master sergeant, serving in Thailand, Vietnam and Korea.
He worked for the U.S. Postal Service and managed Maine State Liquor Store, Patten, and received his associate degree in business from Northern Maine Vocational Technical Institute. He was past master of Molunkus Lodge No. 165 AF & AM, Sherman, a member of Anah Shriners, Bangor, the Sherman area Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a charter member of Katahdin Valley Wheelers, Sherman.
In addition to his mother of Sherman, he is survived by daughters, Janell Anthony and her husband, David, of Alton, Vicky Perz and her husband, James, and Charlene Springer and her husband, Rusty, all of Sherman; grandchildren, Amanda, Michelle, Dustin, Sara and Katie; and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father; his wife of 43 years, Shirley; a son-in-law, John O’Hara; and a sister, Dawn Lambert. The family thanks Dick, Brian, Herman, Gene, Joe, Herb and Harold.
Friends may call noon-1 p.m. Saturday at Washburn Memorial Church where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. with the Rev. Dan Prioux officiating in conjunction with Masonic services and full military honors performed by Molunkus Lodge No. 165, Sherman.
