GUILFORD – Robert J. Tarr, 68, died March 14, 2011, at Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. He was born July 22, 1942, in Guilford, son of Birchie and Doris (Clifford) Tarr.
He worked for many years at Hardwood Products Co., Guilford, retiring three years ago. Bob served with the Guilford Fire Department, and was a member of Parkman Prowlers ATV Club, and Big Buck Club. He loved animals and enjoyed feeding the deer in back of his house.
He is survived by two brothers and their wives, Harley and Janet Tarr of Guilford, and George and June Tarr of Sangerville; three sisters and their husbands, Lois and John Smart of East Holden, Nancy and Basil Patterson of Abbot, and Ann and David Parsons of Troy; a son, John Moore of Dover-Foxcroft; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; a special cousin and friend, Dale Perigo of Parkman; many special friends; and his special cat, Kitty.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, March 18, at Guilford United Methodist Church, with Pastor Stephen Dean officiating. Friends may call noon until the time of service.
