HAMPDEN and BANGOR – Lawrence F. Reynolds, 81, died March 20, 2011, at an Orono health care facility. He was born May 1, 1929, in Centerville, the son of William F. and Cora B. (Hartford) Reynolds.
Larry served in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a tree climber in his younger years, with the predecessor company to Asplundh Tree Experts Co. Larry worked at Husson University for more than 30 years.
He was predeceased by his wife, Zella M. (Caler) Reynolds; a sister, Geneva Whittle; and two brothers, Irving and Alton Caler. Surviving are a son, Michael L. Reynolds and significant other, Buffy Drew, of Hudson; a daughter, Esa Jane M. McDonald and her husband, Larry, of Hampden; grandchildren, Cathleen Reynolds, Christine Morrison, Michael Reynolds II, Alyson Reynolds and Shaun McDonald; and several great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 23. Spring interment with military honors will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer.
