BANGOR, Maine — English Language Learner Tutor Training for Literacy Volunteers Bangor will be offered from 6-9 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, March 28 through April 27, at United Technologies Center, 200 Hogan Road.
The 18-hour course provides an overview of second language acquisition skills, understanding and working with cultural differences, teaching strategies and lesson planning. There is a waiting list of students looking for assistance. The course fee is $35.
