ALBURGH, Vt. – Norma Helen (Wocel) Kehoe went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Sunday, March 20, 2011. Predeceased by her husband, Peter Joseph Dewey Kehoe Jr., Norma is finally at home in heaven with her Dewey. The daughter of Fred Wocel and Rose (Rysanek) Wocel, Norma was born March 30, 1926, in Manhattan, N.Y.
She was a devout and dedicated mother and wife, living in New York City, Connecticut and Maine, as she raised her children. Through her life she was an avid knitter and brightened up any room with her smile. In her last years, Norma was able to live with her son, John and his wife, Ellen, in Alburgh, Vt. She was an active member of Union Bible Church.
She is survived by her four children, Thomas Kehoe and his wife, Carole, of Clinton, Conn., Dr. John Kehoe and his wife, Ellen, of Alburgh, Vt., Mary Ellen Mooney and her husband, Gregg, of Marlborough, Conn., and Janet McAllian and her husband, Donald, of Bangor; 11 grandchildren, Stephen and his wife, Priscilla, Matthew and his wife, Jeanne, Mark, Peter and his fiancee, Sarah, James, Kathleen and her husband, Joseph, Andrew, Rebecca, Caroline, Rachel and Jonathan; and two great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Grace. Norma’s family thanks all the outstanding staff at Meadowbrook Healthcare, Plattsburgh, N.Y., for their personal care to Norma these last few months.
Calling hours will be held 11 a.m.-noon Saturday, March 26, at Union Bible Church, 14 South Main St., Alburgh, Vt., where funeral services will be held noon Saturday with Dr. John Kehoe, pastor of Union Bible Church, officiating. Interment services will take place 2 p.m. Monday, March 28, at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. Arrangements are under the direction of Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton, Vt.
