Water quality report to be presented in Bangor on Thursday

BANGOR, Maine — The Statewide Impervious Cover Total Maximum Daily Load report will be presented from 10-11:30 a.m.  Thursday, April 14, at the Bangor City Hall in the Council Chambers, 73 Harlow St.  The report establishes water quality targets and restoration measures for 29 streams throughout the state that have aquatic life impairments associated with urban storm water runoff. Red Cross blood donor drive at EMMC

Feed the Children delivery scheduled for Manna

BANGOR, Maine — Feed The Children Inc. will deliver a truckload of food and essentials to Manna Inc. at 629 Main St. beginning at 10 a.m. Friday. The distribution is part of Feed the Children’s Americans Feeding Americans Caravan, which has helped 230,000 families across the country since 2009. This distribution will help 400 Maine families. March for Babies! May 1 in Bangor

Kenduskeag Stream pickup on Sunday

BANGOR, Maine — The River City BassMasters, a new Bass Club, is organizing a streamside pickup along the Kenduskeag Stream at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 10, at the Intown Plaza in Bangor. The pickup will proceed from the plaza to the end of the walkway on Valley Avenue. Trash bags, gloves and pickup sticks will be provided.

Fields Pond Audubon plans kids’ nature sessions
