BUCKSPORT – Randy M. Allard Sr., 43, died Monday April 11, 2011, from the results of an automobile accident. Randy was a true family man, devoted husband, loving father and a very proud Papa to Matthew Allard, his devoted grandson.
He was a graduate of Hampden Academy, followed by many years of dedicated service at Lemforder Corp., Brewer, where he met his beloved wife, Paula. He went on to become an independent operator for Bimbo Bread Co. He enjoyed entertaining family and friends. Randy was intensely competitive and loved to play board games and cards.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Paula (Murch) Allard; one son, Randy M. Allard Jr. and his fiancee‚ Joy Allard; two daughters, Katie and Kelley Proulx; and one grandson, Matthew Ryan Allard. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Ernest J. Allard of Kenduskeag, Karen Beatham and husband, George, of Bradford, Virginia Rawls and husband, Robert, of Lewiston, Gary Allard and wife, Susan, of Bradford, Scott Allard of Augusta and Penny Bostwick of Kenduskeag; as well as several aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was loved and will be missed by all.
Family and friends will gather for visitation 3 p.m. until time of the service 4 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at Elm Street Congregational Church, Elm Street, Bucksport, with the Rev. Linda A. Smith officiating. A reception will be after the service in Brown Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Randy’s memory may be made to Susan Murch, 1347 River Road, Bucksport, ME 04416. Arrangements are under the direction of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
