PRESQUE ISLE – Anita Rae Pelkey, 82, passed away April 13, 2011, at her residence. She was born May 3, 1928, in Mapleton, daughter of Ray and Euda (Brown) Lovley.
She retired from The Aroostook Medical Center where she worked as a devoted and caring certified nurse’s aide. She loved and enjoyed her cat, Cricket.
Anita is survived by a son, Charles Swett of Rexford, Mont.; a daughter, Vicki Jackson and her husband, Bob, of Presque Isle; five grandchildren, Jody Swett, Kristy Discipio, Karolyn Saput, Jamie Guerrette and Shelley Wortman; nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; a special friend, Betty Curran; and a special neighbor, Beverly.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. Larry Palmer officiating.
