DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine — A local man was injured Friday afternoon when he lost control of his vehicle and it crashed into a utility pole.
Police believe Frank Michalko, 46, had a medical problem when his 1995 Ford Ranger crossed over the oncoming lane on West Main Street at about 12:40 p.m. and crashed into a pole.
Michalko was taken by ambulance to Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft, where he was being evaluated late Friday afternoon. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and he struck his head on the windshield, Todd Lyford of the Dover-Foxcroft Police Department said Friday.
The vehicle was demolished, according to Lyford.
