The Bangor Daily News is posting on its website (new.bangordailynews.com) a video series of weekly golf tips from local pros to aid golfers of all levels with basic instruction.

This week’s guest pro is Colin Gillies, golf pro and co-owner of Traditions Golf Club in Holden. He got his first job as a head pro in Maine 20 years ago and has been in the profession ever since.

In the accompanying video, Gillies shows where to position the ball in the stance depending on the type of shot to be played.
