BREWER – Rodney W. Carr, 69, passed away April 24, 2011. He was born in Danforth.
Rodney was Baptist and an accomplished musician; his happiest times were when he was at his piano. He had a keen interest in politics, and love for antiques and a hobby of restoring fine art. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Carr is survived by his children, Barbara Carey of Old Town, Renae Muscatell of Bradley, Rodney “Toby” Carr and fiancee‚ Kelly, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., David and wife, Heather Carr, of Augusta, Robin and husband, Jamie Carr-Slauenwhite, of Lincoln, Paul and wife, Cindy Carr, of Belfast, and Stephen and wife, Rosie Carr, of Bangor; his grandchildren, Whitney Carey, Lily Muscatell, Annabelle Muscatell, Abby Slauenwhite, Noah Slauenwhite, Landon Carr, Stephen Carr, Jasmine Carr, Jubilee Carr and Tyler Carr; his sister, Marilyn Weatherbee of Lincoln; a dear friend, Charles Stratton of Augusta; several nieces and nephews. Rodney was predeceased by four brothers, Dana, Kenneth, Irvin and Clifford.
The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at Birmingham Funeral Home, Old Town, where services will begin 4 p.m.
