LINCOLN – Viola S. Stoup, 92, wife of the late Louis Gene Stoup, passed away April 24, 2011, at a Lincoln health care facility. She was born April 8, 1919, in Chester, the daughter of Millage and Etta (Budge) Boyce.
Viola was a member of Lee Baptist Church. She loved baking, and earned many prizes for her baking at various county and state fairs.
She is survived by four sons, Carleton and his wife, Barbara, of Durham, Conn., Vernon of Tijeras, N.M., Larry and his wife, Wendy, of Branford, Conn., and Dennis and his wife, Cathy, of Milford; three sisters, Irene Nelson of Greensboro, N.C., Bernice Kinney of Norfolk, Va., and Dorothea and her husband, David Round, of Enfield; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Mitch Bickford officiating.
