MOUNT DESERT – Robert “Bob” Cawley passed away May 4, 2011, in Ellsworth.
Bob and his wife, June, who predeceased him, moved to Mount Desert Island after his career as an executive in the Bell System. He was also mayor of the borough of Princeton, N.J. Bob was active in the Footloose Friends hiking group on Mount Desert Island and volunteered at Southwest Harbor Public Library.
A service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Saint John Episcopal Church, Southwest Harbor. Donations in Bob’s memory may be made to Southwest Harbor Public Library.
