WINTERPORT – Charles W. Brown, 73, died May 6, 2011, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Oct. 21, 1937, in Bucksport, the son of Earl O. and Virginia E. (King) Brown.
Charles enjoyed the outdoors – hunting, fishing, boating and riding his motorcycle. He worked many years for Coles Express, Freightliner of Maine, and was a member of the Diesel Guild.
He is survived by three sons, Steven Brown and his wife, Denise, of Verona Island, Ronald Brown of Bangor and Alan Brown of Verona Island; three stepchildren, David, Susan and Doris; two sisters, Ellen and Joyce; five grandchildren, Amber, Brittany, Jessica, Thomas and Dustin; seven stepgrandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call noon-1 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport, where a service will held 1 p.m. with the Rev. Linda Smith officiating. Interment will be at Silver Lake Cemetery.
