HERMON — A benefit spaghetti supper for the family of Gary A. Campbell, who died at age 46 of cancer, will be held 4-8 p.m. Sunday, May 22, at Hermon High School. Campbell was a longtime associate and manager of local Hannaford Supermarkets. He left behind his wife Andrea and their three children, Brock, Kate and Kaleb. Admission is by donation at the door; 50-50 raffle and silent auction. PORTLAND — The annual National Association of Letter Carrier’s Stamping Out Hunger food drive will be held Saturday, May 14, during which letter carriers will collect nonperishable donations from homes as they deliver mail along their routes.
SOUTHWEST HARBOR — Red Sky restaurant will donate its revenue from dinners sold 5:30-9 p.m. Wednesday, 25, to benefit the Share the Harvest program on Beech Hill Farm at College of the Atlantic. The community program provides vouchers for fresh produce to those who might not otherwise be able to afford that type of food. Red Sky is at 14 Clark Point Road. Last season Beech Hill Farm distributed 40 farm stand gift-certificates through the Bar Harbor and Westside Food Pantries, funded primarily from donations from the MDI community.
