LINCOLN PARK, N.J. – Gordon W. Reed passed away April 20, 2011. He was born Jan. 9, 1940, in Old Town, at Home Private Hospital.

He moved shortly after high school to Kearny, N.J., and later to Lincoln Park, N.J. He was a machine shop supervisor at Worthington Pump Corp., Harrison, N.J., where he worked 31 years. Gordon enjoyed family and friends, and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He played basketball in the 1950s at his high school in Old Town, where he graduated in 1959.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; three daughters, Donna MacDonald, Debbie Comer and Amy Acer; a sister, Sharon Moffatt and husband, Spike, of Milford; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, many cousins, nieces and nephews in Maine and New Jersey. He was predeceased by a half brother, Norman Reed; and his mom and dad, Beulah and Theron Reed.
