ORLAND – Helen May Roderick, 88, died May 11, 2011, at her home, after a brief illness.
Helen was a very generous and forgiving person. She was very supportive of her children, gave to many charities and causes, and was a sponsor of a child in Central America. She was non-judgmental and felt strongly about equality, fairness and justice. Helen was happy to be a member of Unitarian Universalist Congregation, Castine, whose fellowship she valued and whose welcoming she very much appreciated. Helen was very positive in her outlook, was witty and liked puns. She enjoyed reading, word puzzles, and playing Jeopardy and Trivial Pursuit. She especially enjoyed visits from her children and grandchildren.
