FRANKFORT and BANGOR – Louise J. (Patterson) Hussey, 79, passed away peacefully May 11, 2011, surrounded by her loving family at a Bangor hospital. Louise was born March 2, 1932, in Winterport, to Alton and Ethel (Littlefield) Patterson.
Louise spent most of her life in Frankfort, where she and her husband raised laying hens and gardens. She then worked as a housekeeper in her later years. Louise enjoyed watching game shows and spending hours working at word searches. She enjoyed going for rides, particularly to the coast and going out to eat, but most of all, time spent with her family. In years past Louise was a member of Frankfort Congregational Church and active in the Junior Guild. Louise will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.
Louise is survived by her children, Linda Bryant and husband, David, Brenda Gore and significant other, Terry McDonald, all of Holden, and Wayne Hussey and wife, Diane, of Winterport; grandchildren, Lisa, Jeffery, Tami and Michael; great-grandchildren, Steven, Katie, Matthew, Alyissa and Miranda; a sister, Mildred Little; as well as several nieces and nephews. Louise was predeceased by her parents; 12 siblings; and her former husband, Glenn R. Hussey.
A memorial service celebrating Louise’s life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, May 15, at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden, with Pastor Randy Washington officiating. Family and friends are invited to visit 1 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be immediately after the service at Pilgrim’s Home Cemetery, Monroe.
