PLYMOUTH, Maine — A couple who lives on Lower Detroit Road awoke Sunday to find that all three of their vehicles had been vandalized, according to a Penobscot County deputy sheriff.
Deputy James Kennedy was dispatched to 622 Lower Detroit Road shortly after 7 a.m., he said Sunday afternoon.
At the scene, he found that the interior of a 2005 Ford Escape had been burned. In addition, all four tires on a 1989 Ford Mustang and the two front tires on a 1988 GMC pickup truck had been slashed, the deputy said.
The vechicles were not inside a garage or outbuilding.
Kennedy said he and the state fire marshal are investigating the incident.
The couple reportedly were not awakened during the night, he said.
