PRESQUE ISLE – Granville E. Perkins, 82, died Sunday, May 15, 2011, at a Presque Isle health care facility. He was born Dec. 26, 1928, in Presque Isle the son of Lee and Betsy (Wark) Perkins.
He worked for Triple Crown Farms for a number of years. Granville was an outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, telling or hearing a good joke, saying or humming a tune.
He is survived by five sons, Granville Jr. of Fort Fairfield, Roderick “Rod” and Larry, both of Westfield, Timothy and Christopher, both of Presque Isle; two daughters, Wendy Chamberlain of Fort Fairfield and Laurie Teager of Naches, Wash.; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; countless friends and other family. He was predeceased by his wife, Priscilla (Weaver) Perkins; two infant daughters, Sherry and Pamela; and a daughter, Yolanda Noonan.
