HOULTON – Verna M. Grant, 100, died May 15, 2011, at a local health care facility. She was born Jan. 7, 1911, in Drummond, New Brunswick, daughter of Henry Wesley and Inez (Emerson) Skidmore.
Verna was a member of Full Gospel Assembly Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Verna is survived by her son, Bernard Grant and his wife, Louise, of Houlton; three daughters, Bessie Guerette of Palmer, Mass., Marilyn Linder of Woodstock, New Brunswick, and Annette Copley of Houlton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, William Grant Sr.; her sons, Wesley and Billy; her daughter, Patricia Noli; and her granddaughter, Norma Grant.
