BREWER, Maine — The Brewer City Hall tax office will be closed for all transactions from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday, May 24, in order to install a mandatory Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles computer program upgrade. The state’s BMV upgraded its comprehensive motor vehicle registration program in March and is requiring all local agent offices to complete software upgrades by June 1. Most motor vehicle as well as hunting and fishing transactions can be completed online at www.brewerme.org.
