HERMON – Wilma L. Winship, 94, passed away peacefully May 23, 2011, at a Bangor hospital. She was born March 10, 1917, in Hermon, daughter of William and Nellie R. (Day) Patten.
Wilma was the Boston Celtics No. 1 fan. She enjoyed the friends she made with the Bangor Parks and Recreation Senior Citizens group playing bingo and other activities.
She is survived by four daughters, Lorraine Meredith, Janice Patterson, Sally Lowe and Karol Wilson; a son, Neal Winship; 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Winship, in 1969.
