SALEM, N.H. – Daniel A. Stenzel, 51, of Shadow Lake Road, and formerly of Hudson, N.H., died Sunday afternoon, May 22, 2011, at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born Sept. 17, 1959, in Bucksport, he was the son of David “Red” and Joan (Simpson) Stenzel.
Danny attended Bucksport High School. Danny moved to the Hudson, N.H., area in 1983 and was employed with Impact Drilling Co. for the past 10 years. Danny will be remembered as a dedicated worker. An avid outdoorsman, Danny enjoyed snowmobiling, jet-skiing, scuba diving and driving ATVs. He also loved spending time at his camp in Bradley with his three sons, his brother-in-law, Steve Guay, and his many friends.
Danny was predeceased by his parents; as well as his wife of 17 years, Lora Lee (Kempton) Stenzel; and a brother, David Stenzel Jr. Danny will be sadly missed by his loving companion, Deborah Christopher of Salem, N.H.; three sons, David A. Stenzel and his wife, Ann-Marie, of Lincoln, Adam M. Stenzel of Nashua, N.H., and Ryan D. Stenzel of Salem, N.H.; two grandsons, Bryce D. Stenzel and Reed G. Stenzel; a sister, Rhonda Guay of Bangor; a brother, Philip Stenzel of Pensacola, Fla.; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Services will be held 2-4 p.m. Saturday, May 28, at Farwell Funeral Home, 18 Lock St., Nashua, N.H. After cremation, interment will take place in Bucksport at a later date.
