ST. FRANCIS – Queenie “Reine” Pelletier, 95, died peacefully May 26, 2011, surrounded by her family at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born June 27, 1915, in St. Francis, daughter of Pascal and Sarah (Pelletier) Jandreau.

Queenie was a member of St. Francis Senior Citizen Club.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda and her husband, Hansley Jandreau, of Fort Kent; one sister, Gertrude Picard of Frenchville; two grandchildren, Jeffrey and his wife, Lisa Jandreau, and Lee and his wife, Tina Jandreau, all of Fort Kent; four great-grandchildren, Halee Jandreau, Jessica and Kole Walker and Travis Jones; and one special niece, Frances Picard of Frenchville. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Pelletier, in 1974; a son, Lenny Pelletier, in 1957; three brothers, Clet, Treffle and Patrick Jandreau; and one sister, Georgette Dube.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Charles Catholic Church, St. Francis. Committal service will be afterward at St. John Catholic Cemetery, St. John. Those who wish may donate in Queenie’s memory to Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund, 194 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743 or a charity of their choice. Funeral services are in the care of Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent.
