TOWNSHIP 10, RANGE 4, Maine ? Two Presque Isle residents riding on an all-terrain vehicle suffered slight injuries when they accidentally went off a trail Saturday afternoon, a Maine Warden Service spokeswoman said Sunday.

Juliet Dicker, 37, and David Hill, 62, were on one ATV in a group of five traveling on a logging road at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday when the other riders noticed that their friends were not with them. They retraced their path and found that the two had gone off a trail, apparently due to inexperience as riders, the spokeswoman said.

Dicker suffered lacerations and was taken by Crown Ambulance to The Aroostook Medical Center and later transferred to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. Hill was driven in a friend’s vehicle to the hospital, according to Maine Warden Service Game Warden Alan Dudley.

Maine Warden Service Sgt. Dan Menard, Mapleton firefighters and Presque Isle police also responded to the incident.
