BANGOR – Theresa Woodcock Hurd, 53, passed away May 29, 2011, surrounded by her loving family at home. She was born March 6, 1958, in Fort Fairfield, daughter of the late Wallace Woodcock and Marie (Perry) Woodcock.

Theresa is survived by her two sons, Wyatt and Preston Hurd of Bangor; and husband, Kenneth Hurd Jr. In addition, she is remembered by her sister, Ann Weiss of Hanson, Mass.; brother, Paul Woodcock of Veazie; sister, Mary Johnson and her husband, Lawrence, of Saranac Lake, N.Y.; sister, Nora Duff and her husband, Dale, of Bangor; sister, Alice O’Donnell and her husband, Niall, of Wakefield, England; and sister, Kelly Leadbetter and her husband, Scott, of Veazie. She also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family especially thanks her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Evan and Meghan Hurd for all their kindness and loving care.

Theresa graduated from Bangor High School in 1976 and later attended the University of Maine. She spent many years caring for the elderly and helping others. She loved playing tennis, doing crossword puzzles and especially playing Jeopardy! with her cousin, Susan; and friend, Michael. Above all Theresa was a devoted, loving and dedicated mother to her sons, Wyatt and Preston. The family thanks Hospice of St. Joseph, her friends and neighbors for their compassionate care and support.
