PLYMOUTH, Maine — A Plymouth man could face multiple charges after he entered a woman’s home and stole unspecified items, according to Penobscot County Sheriff’s Deputy James Kennedy.
Jeff Roberts, 30, of Plymouth was being held Wednesday in Penobscot County Jail for a violation of bail conditions, but Kennedy said Roberts may face more charges after the investigation into the incident is complete.
Kennedy said Roberts entered a woman’s home on Moosehead Trail in Plymouth around 3 p.m. Wednesday and stole some items while she was in the residence. Kennedy would not say what was stolen or whether any force or threats were used by Roberts. There were no injuries. The woman was not a stranger to Roberts, though Kennedy said he believes the two had met only once.
“It wasn’t random,” said Kennedy.
A police canine was unable to track Roberts down but officers were able to determine where he lived and arrested him at his home without incident.
