BANGOR – Charles R. Philbrook, 76, died unexpectedly June 2, 2011, at his home. He was born July 9, 1934, in Hampden, son of Leon L. and Mary H. (Griffin) Philbrook.
Charles completed high school and worked for many years in the laundry service industry. Charles was a loving son, brother and uncle, and a great help to the family. He also was very fond of animals.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, James L. Philbrook; nephews, Dana Leeman and Kyle Fitzherbert; a great-niece, Dayna Kathleen; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Charles is survived by two sisters, Julia Leeman and her husband, Harold, of Bangor, and Joan Fitzherbert of Bath; nieces, Susan, Mary, Cheryl, Barbara and Peggy; nephews, Michael, Harold Jr., John and David; many great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
