HOULTON – Brenda J. Hanning, 61, died June 11, 2011, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Oct. 5, 1949, in Houlton, the daughter of Kenneth Hanning and Donna I. (Michaud, Hanning) MacDonald.

Brenda was a member of Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians, American Legion Auxiliary and was employed for several years with Houlton Ambulance Department as an emergency medical technician.

She is survived by her son, George McNinch and his wife, Tammy; daughter, Tina Graham and her husband, Bret, all of Houlton; six brothers, Ken and his wife, Millie, George, Gordon, Gerry, Rodney and Fred, all of Houlton; six sisters, Gloria Prentiss and her husband, Robert, of Florida, Sharon Hanning, Sheila Bither, Dorothy Hanning, Leslie Hanning, all of Houlton, and Mary Hanning and of Rhode Island; grandchildren, Samantha Lynn McNich-Boyce of California, Katie Rae and Jacob Lee Suitter, both of Houlton; many nieces and nephews. She also leaves a special friend, Misty Polchies and her children, Bradly and Damon.
