BARNARD TOWNSHIP – Leona R. Thibodeau, 83, wife of the late Wilfred J. Thibodeau, died June 10, 2011, at her home. She was born Sept. 16, 1927, in Amherst, N.H., the daughter of Leon R. and Esther M. (Sargent) Buxton.
Leona enjoyed playing the piano and the organ. Her hobbies also included rug hooking, working outdoors, landscaping and gardening. She loved her pets and especially enjoyed watching birds.
Leona was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Wilfred, in 2008. She is survived by four daughters, Patricia L. Melamut and her husband, Steven, of Chapel Hill, N.C., Sandra Thibodeau of Sebec, Ann Hollyday of Portland and Jane Pasanen of Barnard Township; and three grandchildren, Amanda Hollyday, William Hollyday and Brianna Pasanen.
