PITTSFIELD, Maine — Stinson Street in Pittsfield, near its intersection with Main Street, will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday beginning at 6 a.m.

A crew from Wellman Paving of Winterport will be on the site to repair the end of Stinson Street, where a large water main broke in December. Since then, heavy truck traffic going to Hancock Lumber and other businesses in Pittsfield Industrial Park has degraded the road further, but Town Manager Kathryn Ruth said the damage will be fixed. Wellman Paving was the low bidder for the project.

Motorists are asked to find another route during the construction.
