BANGOR – Dee Brown, 94, passed away June 14, 2011, in Bangor. She was born April 1, 1917, in Stetson, daughter of Carol and Lena Fitts Bowden.
Dee resided in Bangor most of her life managing various retail stores. She was also active with early morning swim at the YWCA and several woman’s groups. A few of her accomplishments include being valedictorian of her class at Stetson schools and graduating from beauty culture school. She was also a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her son, Brian and wife, Charlene, of Bangor; grandsons, Seth and wife, Mariko, and great-grandchildren, Wade and Mayako, and Eric and wife, Courtney, and great-grandchildren, Ethan, Gavin and Carson; her granddaughter, Sharon and husband, Jeff, and great-grandchildren, Dusty and Clayton; sister, Doe and Rob Dubois and family; brother, Glen and Verlee Bowden and family; nieces, Sandra and Sharon; nephew, Kenneth; and special niece, Jessie Walls. Dee was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Almon; a grandson, Scott Brown; brother, George Bowden; and sister, Eileen Ells.
Per Mrs. Brown’s wishes there will be no services.
